Rentals

Try it for three months before you decide anything.

Rent a home for as long as you want, from three months upwards, with no obligation at the end. If you decide you want to stay, the rent-to-own route puts part of every payment towards buying the home outright.

Straight rental

All in, at $124 a day each.

That is the rate for two people sharing, and it covers everything the residents get: three meals a day, wine and beer with meals, housekeeping twice a week, laundry, Starlink internet, the gym, the pool, the medical centre, all the onboard events, and every port charge and service charge along the way.

There is nothing else to pay unless you want a cocktail outside meal service, a spa treatment or an organised excursion ashore.

For context, $124 a day each is around $3,770 a month for a couple, all in, including food. That is less than a one-bedroom flat in most of the cities the ship calls at, and the flat does not come with dinner.

Rent-to-own

Rent now, and buy later at today’s price.

A fixed monthly rent, of which at least $500 is set aside and credited against the purchase price of your home. The price is locked on the day you start, so if prices rise while you are deciding, that is the operator’s problem rather than yours. Convert whenever you are ready, or walk away.

How booking works

Pick your leg

Decide roughly when you want to be aboard and where. The ship is somewhere different every few days, so joining in Lisbon is as easy as joining in Singapore.

Pick your home

We go through the deck plans with you. Deck and position matter more than most people expect — low and midships is the steadiest.

Confirm the dates

Three months minimum, no maximum, and you can extend while you are aboard if you decide to keep going.

Secure it

A 50% deposit holds the home, with the balance due before you board.

Questions people actually ask

Can I extend once I am on board?

Yes, subject to your home still being free. If it is not, you may be moved to another of the same category. Tell us early if you think you will want to stay on and we will hold it.

Can I try different home types?

Yes. Some people rent an Inside home for a first leg, then move up to a Porthole or Ocean View when one comes free. It is a sensible way to find out how much window you actually need.

Do I get the guest allowance as a renter?

The 28-day guest allowance is for owners and long-term residents. Short-term renters can still bring guests, at the standard visitor rate of $129 per person per day.

What if I need to stop part-way through?

Cancellation terms sit in the operator’s booking conditions and vary with how much notice you give. We will show you those terms before you pay a deposit, not after.

Is renting cheaper than buying?

Over a year or two, yes. Over five or ten, no — the monthly fee on an owned home is around half the rental rate, because you have paid for the home up front. The calculator on the ownership page shows where the crossover falls for your numbers.

Next step

Tell us when you want to be aboard.

We will come back with what is free in that window, which decks are worth taking, what it comes to all in, and the cancellation terms in plain English before you pay anything.
