Our Story
A decade at sea, by design.
From a single charter concept in 2014 to a fully programmed themed‑cruise operation, ABIS has spent ten years turning open water into a destination of its own.
We build floating destinations for audiences who want an experience nobody can replicate on land.
The ABIS charter story began in 2014, when we entered a charter‑concept relationship with the Original Group — pioneers of community‑led lifestyle travel. From that first season our remit was clear: take responsibility for the vessels, the routing and the maritime planning, and shape the concept, theme and on‑board operations around a very particular kind of guest.
What started as advisory work grew into a full operating capability. Today we plan and run signature charters end‑to‑end — sourcing the ships, designing the voyages and curating programming that has made our sailings a fixture for the communities we serve.

The first charter concept
ABIS enters a charter‑concept relationship with the Original Group, taking on vessel charters, maritime planning and advisory on theme and operations.

Back to full sail
As the cruise sector rebounds to record demand, ABIS returns to a full charter calendar and broadens its fleet of chartered vessels.

A signature collaboration brings burlesque icon Dita von Teese aboard — an elegant, headline experience documented as part of the ABIS charter story.
